The zoo is open every day. 

Tickets are available online here

By purchasing an online ticket, you reserve your booking for one of the time slots available:
Summer time (from 28 March): 9:00 a.m. -   2:00 p.m., 2.30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Please note: The booked time slots are binding and cannot be changed after purchase.

Entrance fees are:

12 € / 13 €* for adults 
6 € for children between 6 and 17 years of age as well as for discounted tickets. Children under 6 are free.
29 € / 30 €* for families

* Includes the Nature Conservation Euro, a voluntary, earmarked donation that can be made when entering the zoo. 100% of the Nature Conservation Euro funds go towards nature conservation projects that are supported by Frankfurt Zoo.

IMPORTANT: A time slot has to be booked also for children under 6 years with 0 €.

IMPORTANT: Annual ticket holders and holders of a “Kultur- und Freizeitticket” as well as people otherwise entitled to a free entrance also need to book a time slot for 0 €.

IMPORTANT: There may be a ticket sale in small numbers at the zoo’s main entrance.

No rental of wheel chairs and handcarts.

In the Zoo

In the zoo, the same rules of distance and hygiene are hold as in public areas.

A general mask requirement,  FFP-2 or KN95 mask, applies to the entire zoo for children from 6 years onward.

Until further notice, no show feeding will take place.

The zoo shop open according to the corresponding ordinance of the state of Hesse.

Snack and ice cream only to go.

Currently ALL animal houses remain closed.
