Your visit in times of Corona

Dear Visitors,

Frankfurt Zoo welcomes its visitors again – unfortunately, this does not work without some restrictions, the latter beeing in compliance with the currently applicable security requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: Only those who are fully vaccinated, recovered or tested can visit the zoo. Children under the age of six are exempt from the rule.

Thank you for your understanding!

Your visit in times of Corona

In order to maintain safety distances, the number of zoo guests per day is limited and divided into two time slots:

Summertime: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.

From 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the zoo is closed. All visitors must leave the zoo grounds at the end of the booked time slot.

Tickets are available exclusively through the online ticket store. Reservations by phone or e-mail are not possible.

You can find the online shop >>here

With the purchase of the tickets one of the above mentioned time slots has to be booked.
The time slot selected at the time of purchase is binding and cannot be changed after the purchase has been made.

In the ticket office area, in the animal houses and in the toilets, there is an obligation to wear a medical mask, FFP2 or KN95 mask for people of six years and older. Unfortunately, an exemption cannot be accepted. Wearing a mask is recommended on the zoo grounds. At the moment there is no obligation for testing.

IMPORTANT: A time slot must also be booked online for 0 € for children from 0 to 6 years old.

IMPORTANT: Also those who have an annual pass must book a time slot for 0 € in the online store of the zoo. Annual passes are extended for the duration of the zoo closure.

IMPORTANT: Frankfurt Pass holders and Culture and Leisure Ticket holders must also book a time slot in the online store. Frankfurt Pass holders then pay €1 for adults and €0.50 for children (6 - 17 years) at the box office.

The same distance, hygiene and contact rules apply as in all other public areas.

In all indoor areas (ticket office building, restrooms)  there is a requirement to wear a medical mask, FFP-2 or KN95 mask for people of six years of age and older.

Since it is important to avoid large crowds at the zoo, no show feedings, etc. will take place until further notice.

The food trucks are open.

The Rhönstraße entrance is closed until further notice.
