Education for sustainability

"Living sustainability" plays an important role at Frankfurt Zoo. In the offers of the Education Department, we like to draw attention to threats to individual animal species and ecosystems and at the same time offer concrete suggestions for action for a more sustainable lifestyle.

Living sustainably means not consuming more resources than can grow back in the same period of time. An example: If more fish are caught from the oceans than can grow back, we eradicate the fish.
